Cross Country Skiing in Tyrol

ON THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN PLATEAU IN THE ALPS.

In the DSV Ski Atlas, the region has been in the top positions for several years in a row – and rightly so: 256 km of perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails in all levels of difficulty connect a total of 5 regional towns. The offer of classic and skating trails is almost balanced, a large part of the trails is prepared in parallel for both running styles. Also on the illuminated night trails in Seefeld and Leutasch, tireless skiers can still recharge their batteries in the evening. In Leutasch, since last year, a “Genussloipe” invites you to consciously experience the unique nature – sunny platforms offer the opportunity to enjoy peace and relaxation at the most beautiful places.

The biathlon bug has hit Seefeld!

Since the winter of 2010, the Olympic village of Seefeld has been home to one of Europe’s most state-of-the-art biathlon facilities, which, of course, also came into use during the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games. The biathlon facility in Seefeld’s Nordic Competence Centre is designed to accommodate a total of 30 shooting ranges. 9 permanent ranges for small-bore rifles are currently in operation. The other 21 small-bore ranges were temporarily installed for the 2012 Winter Olympics. The centre also has a further 5 air-rifle shooting ranges.Nicht nur die Profisportler nutzen die Anlage, sondern auch Gästen wird die Möglichkeit  geboten, richtige „Biathletenluft”  bei den Kursen in der  Cross Country Academy von Martin Tauber zu schnuppern!

The facilities, however, are not only used by professional athletes. Visiting guests too can enjoy a real taste of biathlon by taking part in one of Martin Tauber’s Cross Country Academy courses.
